First Glimpses of Baby Dane

We had an ultrasound at the Doctor's today (31 weeks). Dane put on quite a show for the ultrasound tech. Here are some pictures of our little guy.

This first one is a fantastic profile image of him. Look at his cute little nose!
You can also
see his ear in the pic.

Then she turned on the 3-D imaging. Check this out!
You can really see what he looks like!

Then Dane smiled for the camera:

Then he got mad that we were poking him!
Look at the frown!

I am so amazed at what technology has allowed us to do today. And I am even more amazed
at our God who builds little tiny people inside us and gives them to us as gifts.
What a Wonderful Maker!

Mmmmm... Spaghetti!

I took this picture when we were at the farm for Easter.
Evidently, Jacob REALLY liked Grandma Merry's spaghetti!

Will Dance for Cheese

This video is too hilarious! The "Happy Dance", as we call it, is pulled out for the things Jacob is most excited about. I think its funny that he dances on command. :) Being that he is the son of two cheese lovers, we shouldn't be surprised that he, too, loves cheese so much. Enjoy this snippet of our daily lives:

Jacob's First Official Haircut

Well, the time had come... Jacob's hair was too long to leave it go any longer, and Momma no longer felt she had the skills to get the job done well. I still didn't want to lose the curls, so we took him to the one person who I knew could get rid of some of the length and yet keep the curls, if that was at all possible - Marlene! And it was possible! I am SO pleased with the results. Check out these fun pictures from Looks salon:

What's the Word?

Our next door neighbor asked me the other day how many words Jacob was saying. Off the top of my head, I thought, “Maybe 10 ?” But I didn't really know. So I started making a list of all the words he was saying throughout the day. He says a lot more than I thought! Now, given, they are “Jake-ese”, but they’re still words!

A funny thing happened on the dishwasher door today...

Tonite before dinner, Gary was emptying the dishwasher and preparing to make some almond milk for Jacob. He had the dishwasher door down, and the blender on the counter with water in it. There was no lid on the blender, since he was about to add the almonds. At that point, Jacob decided to climb up on the dishwasher door, stand up, and take a look at what was on the countertop. Since he LOVES to push buttons, the blender was an exciting draw. So, he pushed the On button. Water sprayed up out of the blender, all over the place, drenching poor Jacob. The look on his face was priceless. He couldn't figure out why he was soaking wet, and what the button had to do with it. I wondered to myself if I shouldn't be laughing, so as to encourage him to do crazy things like that again in the future. But it was so hilarious I couldn't help myself!
